FAQ - SIGNS

What kind of deposit do you require?
We require 50% down on all orders.

What is the process for determining the best sign for my needs?
We begin every project with a new customer discussing the intention or purpose of the sign.
  • What is the main message that the sign needs to convey?
  • What period of time is the sign required for?
  • Where will the sign be viewed from?
  • Will the sign need to be read by moving traffic?
  • Where will the sign be placed?
  • What additional signage do you currently have on-site?

  • This series of questions and several others will help us determine the best materials, fonts, colors and mounting methods in constructing your sign to achieve your desired outcome.

How long will my sign last?
We use a wide variety of materials for the construction of signs. We have materials that are preferred for short-term applications as well as materials that will withstand the test of time. For more information about the options available and the expected sign life, please contact or visit our facility.

What colors show up the best?
The choice of color is an important aspect when considering the effectiveness of a particular message. For more information about the effect of color for your sign, please phone us or visit our store for a free consultation. Alternatively you may wish to visit the " Resource Center" on our website.

What file format can I use if I email it to you?
Generally, PC format is preferred. For more information on file format, please click on our "File Sending Requirements " link.

Do I need a permit for my sign?
It depends. Frequently outdoor signs require a permit. Our on-site consultation will advise you if this is the case and provide you with a rule of thumb for determining the maximum permit able sign size. If necessary, we can obtain the permit for you to make sure that your sign is in compliance.

Can you make a sign from a digital photograph?
Yes, but there are limitations with enlarging digital images, therefore, quality may suffer. Contact our graphic artists to discuss your specific image and the ability to incorporate the image into your new sign.

Can you make a sign using a scanned photo or image?
Yes, we can. However, the quality of the output depends on the size and quality of the image. We have the ability to scan images up to 12" x 18" inches in size.
