FAQ - GRAPHIC DESIGN

What does your Creative Design services include?
Our creative design services include custom designed concepts, idea collaboration, design layout and copywriting. Frequently our clients provide content and images or digital photographs for their print or sign projects. Alternatively, for an additional fee we can provide the copywriting and images.

How much do you charge for Creative Services?
Our fee is $60 per hour with a minimum fee of $50 per project.

What is the process?
First you provide us with the content and images either by (a) sending via email, (b) uploading to our FTP site (c) mailing to us, or (d) presenting in person. Alternatively we can scan your printed media in order to facilitate document recreation. If you desire we can also create the concept, layout design content and images.

Will I be able to view a proof?
When we have completed the design, a proof will be available for viewing online. We will await your written approval (via email) before printing. If you require a printed proof for our wide-format print jobs, an additional charge will apply. Please check carefully (including content, omissions, spellings, grammer, etc. We will take care to present an accurate document, but we cannot be held responsible for errors on the final printed product.

Do you provide color matching?
Clients are typically pleased with our color producing capabilities. Proofs are provided for content and layout only. We do not offer exact color matching except with our wide-format digital printing. An additional fee of $80 applies for this service, due to the significant time involved.

It's also worth noting that printing is in CMYK color format, whereas when you view online proofs you are looking at an RGB color computer screen, which does not have as good a color fidelity.

Will your designers/copywriters review my content before it's included in the design?
Yes. Our creative designers and/or copywriters will review your content to present it in a way that will grab your target audience's attention. We will also check your images to make sure that the quality is acceptable. If it is not, you will hear from us.

What Print and Image file formats should I send?
To receive the highest quality printing, we recommend the following formats:
Adobe Acrobat Document (*.pdf)
Adobe Illustrator Artwork (*.ai)
Adobe Photoshop Image (*.psd)

Can you re-create an existing document or design?
Yes we can. We can recreate a design or with some changes to the content and design.

What if I don't like the copy or design you create?
We will make every effort to create a design that meets your needs. However, if you are not happy with the design, our design team will incorporate your feedback into the final design.

Why do I have to pay before I see my design?
The design fee covers the copywriting and graphic design costs, which are separate from the cost of printing and shipping your final design. In paying the fee up front, you are allowing our designers and copywriters to spend time on your project.

Do I get the design files after I have paid?
We do not currently sell electronic files of final design concepts. We will keep your design on file so that we can print again in the future. Also if you require some changes to the design in the future, it will be easier and less expensive to modify the file in our possession.

Are my files safe with you?
Yes. We have very secure storage and back-up. We have a Raid 1 server which has an immediate mirror drive back-up. In addition to this, we also perform an external back-up which is kept at a secure offsite location.
